Challenge:

SIM needed consistent, on-brand marketing execution across national programs, chapters, events, and communications - assisting the head of Marketing while they were being promoted to Director of Marketing.

Key Challenges:

  • Maintaining consistency across national and chapter-level messaging
  • Increasing social media engagement and follower growth
  • Supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously (event branding, newsletters, programs, awards)
  • Modernizing brand presence while respecting an established professional audience
  • Producing marketing assets quickly for time-sensitive campaigns.

What I did:

Marketing Support & Execution Partner

I currently support SIM's national marketing efforts under the Marketing Director by executing day-to-day marketing initiatives, strengthening brand consistency, and helping the team maintain momentum across multiple programs and communication channels.

Current Scope:

  • Social media strategy and execution, contributing to consistent posting and engagement across national channels
  • Help grow SIM's LinkedIn presences to 14k followers through ongoing content support and campaign execution
  • Assist with newsletter content and distribution, supporting recurring communications to members and stakeholders
  • Designed and updated event marketing assets, including graphics and promotional materials for national programs and initiatives
  • Contribute to brand modernization efforts, helping refresh visual direction and messaging while maintaining professionalism
  • Support messaging and positioning across campaigns to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with SIM's mission
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and volunteers to deliver assets under tight timelines for events, announcements, and campaigns

Outcome & Impact:

  • Strengthened brand consistency across national marketing channels
  • Support measurable growth in social media followers and engagement
  • Enabled timed delivery of marketing assets for multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Helped the internal team maintain execution momentum without adding headcount
  • Improved clarity and cohesion of messaging across programs, events, and communications

Artifacts:

  • Social media content and engagement growth (LinkedIn)
  • Event marketing graphics and promotional assets
  • Newsletter content and campaign support
  • Brand and messaging updated across national initiatives
